“Father, In the name of Jesus, I declare according to your word that you are a shield for me; my glory and the lifter of my head. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me all around. You alone uphold and sustain me, and keep me from falling. Let all wickedness come to and end and let the just be established; for you are the righteous judge. My defense is of you, Oh God my strength and my redeemer. I will lay down and sleep in peace for you make me to dwell in safety. I will continue to praise your name according to your righteousness and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. I will set you Lord always before me, because you are at my right hand; I shall not be moved.
The Lord holds me up in my path so that I do not slip. I am the apple of his eye and he hides me under the shadow of his wings. The Lord is my rock and my fortress, my deliverer, my God; in him do I trust. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies. By my God I run through a troop. By my God I leap over a wall. Some trust in power and material things, but I will remember the name of the Lord. It is he who gives me the power I need to succeed. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me, in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me. He has set me upon a rock. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies and I will offer sacrifices of joy; yes I will sing praises to the Lord. I had fainted unless I believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I wait patiently for the Lord, and I am of good courage. The Lord strengthens my heart. Let lying lips be put to silence and truth and justice prevail. Amen”.
