Psalm 91 Series: Smart Phone Technology

He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.

There is one thing most of us won’t leave home without, and it’s not American Express. I know for myself, that I have pulled out of the driveway of my home, only to realize my mobile device was not affixed to the magnetized holder on the vehicle dashboard. What did I do? You already know. Whether you have an I-Phone or and Android, the functionality of this handheld computer is virtually endless. For example, with a smartphone you can: make a phone call, text message, check email, search the internet, listen to music, watch videos, etc. Whatever you can imagine, if it didn’t come pre-loaded on your phone, there most certainly is an “app for that”. That being said, the most basic technology of the “smartphone”, making a call, is predicated on that call being answered by the person you to which you with to communicate. Thank God he doesn’t check Caller-ID to determine whether or not He will answer!

The Lord says, whenever, you call, I will answer. How comforting it is to know that God Almighty delights in hearing from you. He longs to commune with you daily. You see my friend, dwelling in the secret place of the Most High is the Global Positioning System that always provides accurate turn by turn directions, ensuring your timely arrival at your divine destination. He doesn’t need to “ping” you to find where you are, He’s with you right now and always. Even in a lion’s den of trouble, our Lord locks the lion’s jaws. Amidst fiery trials, He is there, bringing you out unscathed without even the smell of smoke. His squad is anything but “geeks”; but mighty angelic hosts, against which no foe can withstand. There is none more capable. His Holy Word is your search engine. Honor him by seeking His face. He will honor you with what’s in His hand. He is the King of Glory! Don’t be caught living without Him!
