The Breath Of God

Ezekiel 37:1-10

What you are believing God for has not come to pass. You believe the Word and know that God is able to do above and beyond your highest thoughts, hopes, and dreams. But your dream appears dead in the water. In fact the bones of your dream have started to decay. Now you’ve allowed the enemy to start you to think that you’ve missed God. Except for the fact that the voice of your dream still cries out to you. It won’t leave you alone. Believer, your dream is not dead. You have the power to speak life into it. The phrase “and man became a living soul” is translated “man became another speaking spirit”. God trained Adam in the Garden of Eden to speak things into existence. His first lesson was naming all the animals. A bear was not a bear until Adam said it was. If you would allow me to use spiritual imagination. See God forming an animal and bringing it to Adam in lifeless form. Then whatever Adam called it, that’s what it was. As He spoke breath was expelled from his mouth and now the bear could rise to life and be a bear.
When we speak breath is expelled. Because we are born again, the Spirit of God resides within is, we have Gods DNA. As a result, we have the power to speak things into existence. It is not our breath or power, but we have access to the power of God through Jesus Christ. We are the prophets of our own destiny. We spend much time prophesying over others but not ourselves.
Note that in Ezekiel’s vision God did not fix anything. He told Him to prophesy over the dry bones. The first thing that happened is the bones came together, then flesh covered them. But they were still lifeless. Things maybe starting to come together for you but the progress God showed you is not happening.
Notice that God the told Ezekiel to prophesy to the 4 winds. I believe the winds represent the breath of God.

Then said he into me, prophesy into the wind, prophesy son of man, and say to the wind, This saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O. Breath, and breathe. Upon these slain, that they may live.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army. Ezekiel 37:9-10

Let us prophesy the breath of God flows through every area of our lives so that those things of purpose that seem dead live and rise up!

  1. God’s word also tells us that “life and death are in the power of the tongue”…this alone illustrates what happens when what we speak does or does not line up with the word of God. We must remember that every heartfelt dream and desire has been imparted into us from God. Those are thethings which have not yet manifested thatwe as believers are to call as though they were. We were created in His image….wehave just as much authority and rights and priviledges….itstime we as believers dive into Gods word like never before and start speaking over our life! Besides….if we could not speak things into existence His word would not tell us “to speak to the mountain” in order for it to be removed. I’ve seen how believers have spoke life into someolnediagnosed with cancer…. I’ve seen believers speak healing over the sick….I’ve seen the dead raised…..all in Jesus name….spoken by believers!

  2. Hi Fredrick,as I was reading your post and the more I read the less I agree, think on this, if we could speak things into existence at our will the world would be a mess. Ezekiel and Adam and the other prophets spoke as God told them to that’s why things started happening. Our dreams live on until God is ready to manifest them,no amount of speaking that we do can change that. Have a wonderful day and I know we can disagree in the spirit of love.

    1. Its not according to our will. What we speak must line up with His Word and fulfill His purpose. Otherwise He cannot involve Himself in it. It is His power that causes things to manifest. Not ours.

    2. I need to add that we do have what we say, Good or bad. Our words are powerful. We can either agree with God or agree with Satan
