The Root Of Frustration

Frustration can cause you to respond in a way that is directly opposite than the norm. When we become frustrated we open ourselves up to experience less than God’s best on a continuous basis. Why do we become frustrated in the first place? For many, it is a result of not seeing manifestation as soon as we would like. We’ve been found faithful in the things of God, but breakthrough still eludes us.
On the other end of the spectrum however, which is where I will focus; I suspect that many of us become frustrated with ourselves. We know the Word. We have the desire to please the Lord and to do the Word. But we find ourselves falling short in the same areas over and over again. We are fully aware of Isaiah 59:2

“But your iniquities have separated you between you and your God and your sins have hid his face from you” KJV

In order to make the necessary adjustments we must identify the root of the matter.
Frustration is a feeling of dissatisfaction resulting from unfulfilled needs, desires, or unresolved problems. The moment we become frustrated we step out of faith And without faith______ (you fill in the blank). We must realize it is a trick of the enemy. Satan attacks our feelings and emotions then steps back and watches us thwart our own progress. After we “blow it” then he gets in our ears…
“You’re not ready; “You’re not for real”; “You’ll never see manifestation because you keep messing up with your saved self”

Beloved, we must remember that God can and will get us out of any situation if we do things His way. Look at verse 1 of Isaiah 59:

“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear weary, that it cannot hear”

The first step is to acknowledge verbally who we are in Christ We must rebuke the devil when he speaks lies to our minds and only speak what God has said about us
Next, realize that growth is a process. You didn’t get “jacked up” over night. Chances are your deliverance won’t come that way either.
Forgive yourself and don’t wallow in self pity.. Those parties are for losers. You are a winner.
Plan to succeed. Failing to plan is planning to fail. What are you going to do differently? Write it down.
Stay Focused Be consistent and persistent in your daily confessions. Here’s one you can wear out:
“My days of frustration are over. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!

  1. “Emotions”! Yuck!! O how very often they get in the way,I thank God for knowing and loving us beyond measure. What would we do without Him being on our side, and let me say my “emotions” almost got the best of me.I had to read your blog twice because I was angry with you about support 😀 oh yea I needed this one too.

    1. THX Pat. We all are a work in progress, but He that began a good work in us shall perform it…

  2. Powerful… Once the root is recognized/found then the pulling up of the root/s can began. I agree it is a process because natural tree roots travel miles under ground, yet when complete the planting of the new seed can take place and manifestation WILL COME. Encouraging to me, be blessed!

    1. This is definitely one of those “physician heal thyself” blog entries. I needed it too! Thanks for visiting!
