EMMANUEL

For unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given…

The key phrase is “unto us”.  You may be familiar with the Gospel of John, Chapter 1 where it says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God…”  Notice that Word is capitalized. That’s because the Word is Jesus. It goes on to say the Word became flesh and dwelt among us—Emmanuel!  Why did Jesus have to come to the earth anyway? Because God’s Word is so powerful that it would take another Word from Him to cancel out the sentence of death on mankind after the fall of Adam.  Remember God said that the day Adam ate of the forbidden fruit he would surely die. God’s desire for man was to bring life, not death, so He had to introduce “Himself” into the earth realm; sinless, part human, part divine; to show man that it is possible to live in obedience to God. Then He had to “kill” the curse (that’s why Jesus had to die) in order to release the blessing.  He would introduce himself through the “seed” of a woman.  Wait a minute! A woman doesn’t  have seed, she has eggs! This was confusing to the devil, but God knew what he was doing. He couldn’t use a man’s seed because man’s blood was tainted by sin because of Adam. So he impregnated Mary with His Word and conception took place. Likewise, in our lives, no conception takes place absent of the Word of God.

So The Word became flesh; setting forth God’s original plan–to get heaven in the earth (Thy Kingdom Come…). Jesus (the Spoken Word) came to “see to it” that whatever God says come to pass. That’s why the Word of God cannot fail. So if God is with us, then is there anything we can’t do? Is there anything we can’t have.? Is there anything we can’t achieve. Are you getting the picture? God is with you; He’s not only with you, God is in you. You’re a Little “G” walking around in an earth suit. So act like it, walk like it, talk like it. Fear no man, cause Daddy’s  (our Father’s)  got your back. He will make His Word good!

Even God himself operated within time which came out of Himself. It took Jesus the same nine months in the womb that it takes every human born in the planet. What this tells us is that some things take time. Our job is to speak the word, give it time, and allow The Word to bring to pass what we have spoken.
