Oh Lord, you know all my ways. You have examined my inward parts. You know me inside and out. There is not a word in my mouth that you don’t know before I speak it.
You have set a hedge about me and laid your hand upon my life. Such knowledge is too high for me to comprehend. There is nowhere I can go to run from your presence.
Whether I go to heaven, or make my bed in hell, your Spirit is there. Should I flee to the east, or run far to the west, there your hand will be to guide me.
Even when I say, I am covered in darkness with no light anywhere to be found. The night shines as the day with your presence.
Nothing is hidden from you; for it was you who formed and weaved me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise you Lord, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are impossible to comprehend with my human mind, but you reveal yourself supernaturally by the power of your Word.
As an embryo in my mother’s womb, I was not hid from you. As bones, veins, and arteries were being formed your eyes did see me and my life was laid before you as an open book.
Oh how precious are you thoughts towards me oh, God. Your expectations for me are so great; too many to number.
Surely you will destroy the wicked; therefore the unrighteous must depart from me. Those that speak against you are my enemies.
Search my heart Lord, test me, know my thoughts; and see if there is anything in me that is wicked; reveal it to me Lord. And lead me in your way; the way that leads to everlasting life.
